Class Experience
Do you want to become a developer? I introduce the basic concepts that will stay with you throughout school and your career. I make it easy by introducing fun concepts that will help you start coding immediately. This class is taught in English.
I am offering this class because I have been tutoring computer programming for years and I have seen students struggle with grasping of the concepts. I have noticed that the concepts are made too difficult or general so I have learned to make concepts more personal to the individual.
I will offer simple handouts that describe concepts in-depth and also provide workable examples. We will start small and grow with a project-based learning system. We will be using Eclipse and the Java Development Kit. The websites are included in the External Resources section. Computers running Windows 10 and Mac OS will work. PLEASE NOTE THAT CHROMEBOOKS DO NOT WORK.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
