### Algebra Camp-Exponents and Exponential Functions (Module 5)

Average rating:5.0Number of reviews:(80)
This 1-week camp, focusing on rules of exponents, graphing exponential functions and applying to real world situations, is part of a series of 4-day camps I offer during the summer.

#### Class experience

`Students will gain a conceptual understanding of exponents that will form the foundation in developing the rules used to evaluate exponential expressions or simplify exponential expressions. They will make sense of zero and negative exponents, and rational exponents. We will then learn about the relationship between an exponential function and its graph and use that to make sense of exponential growth and decay. We will apply this knowledge to the Coronavirus and the meaning of the R0 value associated with it. We will also look at other applications of growth and decay models, including compound interest.`
