Class Experience

US Grade 10 - 12
In this self-paced course, students will explore Atomic Structure and Properties, aligned with AP Chemistry Unit 1 per the College Board's course exam description. This course is designed to strengthen foundational knowledge in chemistry, equipping students with the skills needed for both AP Chemistry and college-level chemistry.

Students will explore all 8 key topics from AP Chemistry Unit 1: Atomic Structure and Properties. Each topic includes video lessons with practice problems, followed by additional exercises and answer keys to reinforce understanding.

Course Structure: This course is fully self-paced, with a suggested pace of one lesson per week over eight weeks. Each lesson uses video instruction to break down concepts so students feel confident in understanding even the trickiest topics. The built-in practice during each video helps learners actively apply what they’re learning right away, ensuring a solid grasp of each concept before moving on to the next.

Each lesson includes additional practice problems with detailed answer keys, so students can check their understanding and work at their own pace. This approach supports a self-guided learning experience, while offering enough structure to ensure students stay on track with the AP curriculum.

Student Support: Students will have access to me for the suggested 8-week duration of the course. You can reach out through the course discussion to ask questions, seek additional support with practice problems, or get clarification on any topic. I’m here to help you not only with the course content but also with any related questions that spark your curiosity!

Who is this course for? This course is ideal for:
-Students who have completed High School Chemistry and Algebra I and want a deeper understanding of AP Chemistry.
-Students preparing for the AP Chemistry exam who need a comprehensive review of Unit 1.
-Homeschoolers or independent learners looking for a structured approach to mastering atomic structure and properties.
