Fractions can be fun!
End-of-year assessments are coming up and fractions are a large part of 5th grade math. This course will turn fraction fear into fraction fun!
In this class, we will play games, complete real-world tasks, and solve puzzles using fractions. We will do a short review of how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions before we dig into our student activities. I will utilize various models and strategies to ensure all the needs of learners are met. We will discuss test-taking strategies and end with a test prep game. Throughout the class, I will provide students with personalized feedback so that by the end they will feel confident in their fractional computation skills.
