Class Experience

In this ongoing class, students will be taught a variety of 4th grade content based on Georgia's Standards of Excellence and NGSS.  Learners can join in at ANYTIME as topics will not build on each other. As a previous 4th grade science teacher, I have experience teaching all of these standards and planning them in a way that flows and is engaging for students. My goal is to make this course student-centered, hands-on, and inquiry-based. Students will focus on a specific topic each week...

Learners will improve their understanding of a variety of 4th grade science topics.

This course will not include homework outside of class.

Supplies will be sent out weekly for the upcoming class. If your learner plans to attend class for a long period, please let me know. I can send a full list to those that plan to stay weekly.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Kahoot
Nearpod

Learners will be informally assessed at the end of each class by completing an interactive quiz via Kahoot.

50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Learners will be asked to use resources such as Kahoot or Nearpod during class. Links will be sent in the chat box if needed but will not require a login for anyone.
