Lesson 1:
Suffixes -es, -s, -ed -ing
 𐩑Learn how to correctly choose between the suffixes -s and -es based on the final consonant of the base word.
𐩑Identify the three sounds of the -ed suffix: /d/, /t/, and /id/.
𐩑Practice isolating the suffix in a word for decoding and encoding.
𐩑Analyze and practice irregularly spelled high frequency words in isolation and in sentences.

Lesson 2:
Open and Closed Syllable Introduction
 𐩑Review the concept of syllables and practice breaking words into syllables.
𐩑Introduce open syllables with a long vowel and closed syllables with a short vowel.
𐩑Analyze and practice irregularly spelled high frequency words in isolation and in sentences.

Two Syllable Words Closed/Closed
 𐩑Identify the syllables in two-syllable words (e.g., "hectic," "content").
𐩑Introduce the schwa sound in two-syllable words.
𐩑Practice syllable spelling techniques.
𐩑Analyze and practice irregularly spelled high frequency words in isolation and in sentences.

 𐩑Read and identify closed and open syllables in two-syllable words (e.g., "demand," "vacant").
𐩑Review and identify the schwa sound in two-syllable words.

𐩑Analyze and practice irregularly spelled high frequency words in isolation and in sentences.
