Class Experience

US Grade 5 - 8
Beginner - Intermediate Level
Did you know that most ballet terms are derived from the French language? In this class, students will gain a better understanding of the French terms used in their ballet classes. When students fully grasp the terminology, they can perform more effectively in class. This understanding enables them to participate in classes globally and accurately interpret the expectations and instructions provided.

During each lesson, we will discuss new ballet terms. Students will make flash cards for each term and learn how to read, say, and correctly spell (with accents) each word.

Students who are able, will be encouraged to try the corresponding movements with me during class.

Note: This is not a ballet technique class; however, I do offer group and private lessons for ballet technique upon request.

Homework: A homework lesson is be provided after most lessons. Homework is optional but is encouraged for better understanding and memorization of the vocabulary terms learned in this class. We will review the answers to the previous week's homework assignment during the beginning of each class. Homework PDFs will be uploaded after each class. You will need to print these for your learner to complete.
