In this class, students read and discuss an article from the Reading Explorer series by National Geographic. Students will learn essential skills like: skimming a paragraph and identifying the main idea, inferring meaning, connecting pictures to text and understanding vocabulary contextually. Students will also learn how to provide quality responses to critical thinking questions. The Reading Explorer series is an excellent approach for learners to achieve their reading, critical thinking, and vocabulary acquisition goals. The article read in class can be chosen by you or by the teacher. Let me know beforehand! Articles chosen by the teacher include...
