Hey there, K-pop stans! 🌟 Whether you're a long-time fan or new to the world of K-pop, you've found the perfect place to connect, share, and celebrate the amazing music, talent, and culture that make K-pop so special! This is a social club for passionate K-pop enthusiasts who love everything about this vibrant genre—from the catchy tunes and stunning performances to the incredible fashion and inspiring idols. This club is dedicated to creating a fun, inclusive, and supportive community where fans can come together to share their love for K-pop. My mission is to create a safe, positive, and engaging space where fans can express their love for K-pop freely. I believe that K-pop is more than just music—it's a global movement that unites people across cultures and backgrounds. If you live, breathe, and dream K-pop, then this is the place for you! Join us and be a part of a community that celebrates the music, the idols, and the fandoms that make K-pop an unforgettable experience. All of my classes are inclusive for ALL learners. As such, they are ESL, neurodivergent and autism friendly. Week of August 18th. Class 1: This week, we will discuss the latest comebacks, debuts, and breaking news in the world of K-pop! 📰. Week of August 25th. Class 2: This week, we will discuss who is your ultimate bias and why? Who are your bias wreckers that keep trying to steal your heart? Students will also have the opportunity to share their fanart and ideas for cover dances! Week of September 1st. Class 3: Be ready for an extra-special K-pop fandom quiz for true fans! Week of September 8th. Class 4: In today's class, students will discuss their favorite eras from various groups (e.g., BTS’s "HYYH" era, EXO’s "Growl" era). What made them stand out to you? Next, we will compare and contrast different eras of the same group or different groups!
Learning Goals

Hello! My name is Teacher Mary and I have been teaching English Language Arts, creative writing, writing essentials, English second language, history, as well as debate and public speaking in the Canadian school system for over 20 years now! Teaching is truly my passion! I hold a Bachelor's Degrees in both English Literature and History. Further, I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Education with an advanced degree in Teaching English as A Second Language. (I have also written material for English Second Language textbooks that are currently being used in the school system in Quebec, Canada.) And finally, I completed my Master's Degree in English Literature and Creative Writing in 2012. I am legally certified to teach Kindergarten to Grade 12 in both the provinces of British Columbia, and Quebec, Canada. I take pride in helping my students learn to express themselves. As a mother of three teenage daughters, I absolutely understand the very real anxiety and self-doubt so many of our children are battling. I truly believe that the act of self expression can be a wonderful outlet for evacuating stress and negative emotions. I strive to create classes for my students that are exciting, interactive, and fun!
