💫This is a one-time class that can be taken multiple times. Come once, or come often!

Embark on an exciting adventure with "Hide and Seek," a fun and interactive game designed to enhance early literacy skills for young learners! In this class, students will engage in a series of challenges and puzzles that combine the classic game of hide and seek with educational activities. This small group class offers a playful and engaging way to learn!

During this class, I will hide different objects behind the letters of the alphabet, CVC words and sight words, while your learners try to guess where they are hiding. Children love to find the hidden objects and we can play this game over and over again!

We will review the letters of the alphabet, letter sounds, alphabetical order, CVC words and sight words.

Learning Goals:
✔️Recognize and name all upper- and lowercase letters of the alphabet.
✔️Practice identifying beginning letter sounds.
✔️Practice reading CVC words.
✔️Read common high-frequency words by sight.

✏️Homework will be provided to reinforce and practice skills after our class.

Playing games to teach early literacy skills offers numerous educational and developmental benefits for young learners. Here are some of the key advantages:

✅Motivation to Learn: The playful nature of games encourages children to participate and engage actively, which can lead to better retention of information.

✅Repetition and Practice: Games often involve repetition, which is essential for mastering foundational skills like letter and word recognition.

✅Immediate Feedback: Many educational games provide instant feedback, helping children understand and correct mistakes on the spot.

✅Memory and Recall: Games that require recalling letters or words help improve memory skills.

✅Vocabulary Building: Games that involve identifying or using letters and words can expand a child's vocabulary.

✅Verbal Expression: Participating in games often involves communication, which can enhance speaking and listening skills.

✅Cooperation and Teamwork: Many games involve group participation, teaching children how to work together and take turns.

✅Confidence Building: Successfully completing game challenges can boost a child's confidence and encourage a positive attitude toward learning.

✅Differentiated Learning: Games can be adapted to various skill levels, allowing for personalized learning experiences.
