4 lessons//4 Weeks
Week 1Lesson 1All About MeStudents will brainstorm facts about themselves, then put a few of those facts into a short paragraph.Week 2Lesson 2How - to WritingStudents will write the steps for how to make a pizza, in paragraph form using transition words.Week 3Lesson 3Friendly Letter WritingStudents will choose a friend of family member to write to, and will learn about the structure of a friendly letter.Week 4Lesson 4Book Report WritingStudents will choose one of their favorite books and write a paragraph about what they enjoyed most about the book & why they would recommend it to others.
This class is taught in English.
- Emerging writers will gain practice with brainstorming and writing about their ideas~ ultimately helping them to become better writers!
Through my work as a private elementary tutor, I have worked with students on these same writing activities. I have found them to be enjoyable activities for students, even for those seemed hesitant about writing at first!
-A pencil + paper -Any worksheets to print will be provided by the teacher on the classroom page, prior to the class meeting
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
