Inspired drawing from books and films about Dragons and Mythical Creatures...Winged Dragon, Chinese Dragon, Dragonโs head in detail and Gargoyle! Shapes, scales, teeth, tails...all things that make up our mythical magical friends! Realistic Drawing, Sketching, Art Lessons. In this 4 week course, students will learn to sketch, shade and colorize (optional) mythical Dragons and Gargoyles. Each lesson will have audio and video, along with step by step guides that are broken down into small segments. There are no Live meetings. Students may post their work and share their knowledge of the topics we are working on via messages, attachments or video recordings in the classroom. I will show different colorizing techniques to get special effects on our creatures. Watercolors work great with dragons! Each lesson will be focused on 1 different style creature. Creatures will include: Standing Winged Dragon Chinese Dragon Dragon Head Winged Gargoyle Students will need: *I will have starting form templates that you may print to use for each creature if you choose to, for proportion purposes. I will be showing colorization via watercolor. You may use whatever coloring materials you prefer. pencil eraser fine point black marker (like a Copic 0.1 or 0.5) watercolors (or any colorization materials you choose) You may work digitally if you prefer.

*Lori King (Ms. Lori - She/Her) is a graduate of F.I.T in NYC. She worked in different areas of the design industry since 1991, from illustration, pattern making, garment construction to designing full story boards for buyers. She tutors Fashion Illustration to help other students complete their professional portfolios before their interviews. Lori is also a Polymer Clay artist, Graphic Designer and Illustrator.
