This ongoing class is designed for beginner-level English learners, providing a fun and stress-free environment where they can thrive and grow. Introduction (3 minutes): We’ll start by exchanging greetings and having learners share highlights from their day or week. Then, I’ll present the selected reading material tailored to each learner's level. Main Lesson (35 minutes): In this segment, we’ll explore key vocabulary words, engaging reading materials, and writing exercises that include grammar. To enhance understanding of the literature, I’ll provide supplementary videos, definitions, synonyms, antonyms, idioms, and more. We’ll also utilize resources like Wordly Wise Levels 1-4, Kids A-Z, and/or other supplementary materials for interactive exercises. Wrap-Up (2 minutes): We’ll conclude by discussing learners' favorite parts of the story, any illustrations that stood out, or memorable quotes to encourage reflection and connection with the material.

Hello everyone,
Thank you for visiting my profile. My name is Michelle, and I'm so excited to join the Outschool community! Although I am originally from South Korea, I was born and raised in the US, Switzerland, and Dubai (UAE). I began teaching in 2008 when I volunteered at international schools and colleges in Mongolia and Indonesia, teaching introductory courses in marketing, management, and ESL English. The experience was incredible, and the students were absolutely amazing.
Since 2017, I have taught at international schools in South Korea, working with students aged four to sixteen. My teaching subjects include English, Science, Social Studies, and Geography. My two core teaching philosophies are:
1) Valuing each student’s learning style: I prioritize patience and understanding of each individual's culture and learning progress, making each student feel valued, and fostering a supportive community in our classroom.
2) Making learning a fun journey: I love what I do, and I am passionate about finding the best ways to support each child's learning needs. Building rapport with my students helps create a joyful and engaging learning experience.
