Throughout this course, students will meet once-a-week and learn beginners ASL signs. This is a beginners course, geared towards new ASL learners. We learn through repetition and fun activities in every class. Some of the signs we will learn include the ASL alphabet, numbers, how to introduce ourselves, basic conversation, common words and phrases, family and people, animals, food, colors, question words, adjectives, calendar words, verbs and much more! Week 1Lesson 1ASL Alphabet, Numbers, How to Introduce OurselvesIn this lesson, students will learn how to sign the ASL alphabet, numbers 0-5, and how to greet people and introduce themselves in ASL.Week 2Lesson 2Family & People SignIn this lesson, students will learn how to sign family and people signs.Week 3Lesson 3Common Words & Phrases Part 1In this lesson, students will learn common words and phrases.Week 4Lesson 4Food Signs Part 1In this lesson, students will learn how to sign different types of foods and drinks.Week 5Lesson 5Food Signs Part 2In this lesson, students will learn how to sign dining signs and use food signs in sentences.Week 6Lesson 6Common Words & Phrases Part 2In this lesson, students will learn more common words and phrases.Week 7Lesson 7Colors & Question WordsIn this lesson, students will learn how to sign colors and question words.
