In this one-on-one class, we will go over specific student questions, concerns, and misunderstandings in regard to Pre-Algebra and/or Algebra 1.

1 hour per week. The learner may receive lesson notes as well as practice questions based on the content we covered in our lesson and the learner's weak spots on those topics.Assessment
Parent will be updated with the progress of the learner at the end of each week, or contacted if there are any particular concerns. Extra assignments or problems may be offered to challenge the learner at home. Anything beyond is available upon request.Class Experience

Disclaimer: To meet twice a week, you will need to enroll for one class twice, so you need to repeat the enrollment. This is because one enrollment is considered one class. However, if you'd like to meet once a week for 35 minutes, you may enroll normally. Please message me if you need any assistance. -- This class will last 35 minutes and we will meet twice a week. Each class will involve practicing and mastering topics from Pre-Algebra to Algebra 1. My teaching style for students largely depends on age and learning style - everyone can be accommodated. I will be interacting fully with the enrolled learner through teaching the true nature of the concept at hand and practicing specific problems to challenge the learner as best as possible and target any weak areas throughout the learning process. Similarly, we may review any schoolwork assignments and/or preparing for a new topic that will be included in the learner's school curriculum. One fantastic opportunity for my classes involves my personal assistance for any specific questions that the learner or parent sends through the Outschool platform, meaning that there is no need to wait until our next lesson if the learner is struggling with a particular problem that they need help on; think of it as "emergency" help from me!

Pre-Requisites
Please provide the topics, questions, or problems that the learner would like to cover prior to our session together 24 hours in advance. If not, your session may be canceled or rescheduled at your convenience.

I am a pure mathematics and computer science double major at the University of Florida; I am in my third-year pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in both fields, and I am going further in my pursuit towards graduate school for both disciplines.
I have prior experience teaching mathematics as well as the essential logic and problem-solving skills associated with conquering all sorts of math problems, from tricky word problems to "caught-you!" arithmetic. My experience with teaching has encompassed all ages and learners from K-12 to university level, but my teaching method will largely rely on and be adapted to the specific needs of the learner.
For further teaching experience, I have not only tutored people of all ages, but I have also taught courses in university-level computer science, logic, and mathematics. I have significant experience in how to properly explain and teach difficult concepts to people of all ages and levels, as well as truly learning how to learn, a necessity for all students.
