In this class, students will work 1:1 with a licensed teacher.  The teacher will provide a 30 min lesson on areas of need.

This is a personalized class designed to fit the needs of your child. If your child is struggling in reading, writing, phonics, or math you have come to the right place! I aim to provide helpful strategies to allow students to feel confident when completing independent assignments and assessments. This course can be used to prepare for an upcoming assessment or standardized test or just simple weekly "maintenance" to make sure that your learner is not falling behind in school!  We believe students learn best by doing and being an active participant, so you can expect you child to be doing and learning right alongside us.  With that in mind, please always check the classroom for attachments and materials to bring prior to class starting! If you child has a specific learning style or interest, please let us know and we will do our best to incorporate it! I look forward to meeting your child! 

Topics that can be covered are:
-Math- adding, subtracting, shapes, counting, patterns, place value, word problems
-Reading- sight words, letter sounds, spelling, reading comprehension
-Phonics- spelling, vowel sounds, decoding words
-Writing- handwriting, sentence practice, paragraph writing, cursive
