Parental Guidance
These texts are approved for the middle-grade level and are designed to challenge students. Please refer to commonsense media to make sure that the novel is appropriate for your learner. Some of the text does involve sad situations. The book contains bullying and hateful language but goodness wins out, and readers should find it inspiring and uplifting. The novel also has messages of individuality, nonconformity, friendship and courage. Topics will be handled from a trauma-informed approach.
