Everyone can learn to read! In this course, learners will gain fundamental reading skills with a focus on decoding, motivation, and encouragement. This class is meant for older readers who are reading at least 2 levels below grade level.

- Learners will be able to read CVC, CVCC, and CCVC words (words with short vowel sounds, blends, and some digraphs).
- Learners will recognize and read high frequency words with automaticity.

- Learners will recognize the individual sounds in words and connect them to letters to decode (read) and encode (spell) words.

- This class is intentionally kept small to support students with unique learning needs such as learners with dyslexia, ADHD, ASD, and other learning differences. - This class uses a multi-sensory approach and explicit teaching.
- Learners should already recognize individual letter sounds. - Consider scheduling a 1:1 assessment with me to see if this is the right course for your learner.
