Do you love Studio Ghibli and would love an art course focused on your favorite characters? Want a fun and relaxed setting to practice your drawing, coloring, and watercoloring skills? Then this class is designed for you! This class is intended for the Studio Ghibli enthusiast as students will be drawing different characters from multiple films! In this art class, students investigate basic drawing techniques through drawing the "Studio Ghibli Style". Some of the characters that students draw come from the films Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service and Ponyo! Students tackle projects by using different techniques and different materials each week. They will learn basic principles and apply them to Studio Ghibli characters. This class is designed for younger artists. This class will be presented via Keynote and is an art based class. This is a SELF PACED class and is PRE-RECORDED. This means students will watch the pre-recorded video. Students will engage in questions, class discussions, and art assignments. There will be optional homework. Students will be encouraged to share their artwork. Why SELF PACED? 🔰 Self paced classes are fantastic for international students (Mrs. V is located in Texas). 🔰 Students can work at their own pace. No need to wait on others or feel rushed. 🔰 Self paced classes are an excellent choice for families with busy schedules. 🔰 This class is a "self paced" class, meaning there is no live component, and all interactions between students and the teacher happens on the class page. SELF PACED FORMAT: 🔹 Video Content: Weekly videos with a step-by-step breakdown of the art assignments are posted. Some videos will have a 15 to 20 minute duration. The work time for the student will be roughly an hour long. Students will review the video. 🔹 Discussion Prompt/Question/Check-in: Students respond to a weekly discussion prompt and/or question(s) posted by the teacher. 🔹 Complete Artwork: Students spend time completing their sketches. 🔹 Submit Artwork: Students are required to post photos of their completed sketches in the classroom on the designated post. Keep in mind, sharing artwork is essential in a self paced class. 🔹 Feedback: Individualized feedback will not be given unless directly requested.
