It’s common for parents to feel overwhelmed or unprepared when helping with writing homework—and it’s not your fault! Teacher instructions can be unclear, and for many, English isn’t their first language. Let me take the stress out of homework with a small class size—up to 4 students—so your child gets the personalized help they need. Enroll today! I specialize in helping students master a variety of writing skills, from foundational concepts to advanced techniques. Areas of Expertise: ~Sentence Structure & Paragraph Writing – Building strong, clear, and effective sentences and paragraphs. ~5-Paragraph Essay Writing (Elementary to College) – Mastering Personal Narrative, Descriptive, Expository, Opinion, and Persuasive essays. ~Grammar & ELA – Strengthening foundational language skills for success in writing. ~Creative Writing & Poetry – Encouraging imagination and self-expression through creative exercises. ~Descriptive Writing – Teaching students how to write compelling, vivid descriptions that captivate readers. ~Novel & Short Story Writing – Helping students craft engaging stories and develop their narrative skills. ~State Exam Preparation – Preparing students for state-level writing and language assessments. My goal is to inspire confident writers and help students excel in their writing assignments and beyond! THIS IS A SMALL GROUP HOMEWORK HELP CLASS: I understand that each student has unique needs, but if I notice common issues in their writing, I will address them through 5-10 minutes of targeted instruction. This will include engaging slide presentations and supplemental videos to reinforce key concepts. After the mini-lesson, students will be placed in breakout rooms where I can provide individual attention and feedback. To ensure that I am fully prepared to assist, please make sure your child uploads their writing homework at least one day prior to the session. For optimal use of class time, please send me your child's homework at least a few hours before the session. If you prefer individual attention and support, feel free to explore my private tutoring sessions. If you have any specific questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree from Oral Roberts University
My love of writing began at age 8 and has continued to grow ever since.
As a published author, writing teacher, and tutor, I have over 25 years of experience working with students of all ages, from elementary to college level. Whether they’re tackling creative writing, essays, or writing homework, I’ve helped students, both gifted and struggling, gain the skills and confidence they need to succeed. I saw a need for more engaging writing instruction, so I developed programs that help students craft powerful, effective essays and stories. These techniques work not only for students who already love writing but also for those who don’t. I'm thrilled to bring my programs to an even broader online audience!
What parents and other teachers are saying:
“Gina draws out the writer hiding within you… no matter how deep down that writer is buried. I highly recommend Gina as a writing instructor.” — Ronee, mother of a reluctant teen writer
“Gina is a phenomenal writing teacher! We have loved working with her. We have a range of ages, and she is great at adapting to their learning styles. She's very patient and good at helping them focus. My kids have learned so much and been stretched and challenged in writing. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to advance in any area of writing!” — Bethany, mother of K-4 grade students
“All writers, regardless of their age or level, need to understand the nuances of story, the layers of a character, how to put a scene together, and how to wordsmith their stories. Enter Gina Conroy's terrifically fun and creative course for teens, Release the Novel in You! It takes the rules out of writing and turns it back into what it should be—fun! From story structure to characterization, it covers everything an intermediate writer needs to take their story from an idea to a novel.” — Susan May Warren, Award-winning novelist and writing coach
