Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 5
Beginner - Intermediate Level
2 lessons//2 Weeks
 Week 1
Lesson 1
Introduction to Castles; Starting the Art
Students will practice drawing a traditional European style castle using simple lines and shapes. The teacher will demonstrate different ideas for added details that students can try, or use as a springboard for their own ideas. The video will end with the outlining of the final copy drawing with a Sharpie.
 Week 2
Lesson 2
Finishing the Art
The teacher will demonstrate coloring techniques on the final copy castle using colored pencil, crayon, and/or watercolor techniques.
As a veteran art teacher, I have successfully developed methods for helping children break down seemingly complicated drawing tasks into simple steps for successful drawing. Castles are so much fun to draw because they allow for a lot of imagination to take place!
