⭐ Join Anytime – No Previous Lessons Needed! Our 4th grade math class is designed for students to join at any point during the semester! Each lesson is self-contained, so there’s no need to worry about missing prior sessions. 📚 What to Expect In this full curriculum course, students from all backgrounds will take a deep dive into 5th grade math. Each live session fosters a virtual community where learners connect, grow, and learn. Our class follows an "I do, We do, You do" structure that provides opportunity for group discussions, student practice, and exciting math games. This program is led by a state-certified licensed math teacher with a proven track record of success. 💼 Includes Extra Resources In addition to our live meetings, your child will have access to new resources every week related to the current skill. Students are welcome to simply show up to class with blank paper and pencil! • Anchor Chart: During class, students are welcome to follow along using a teacher-provided, printable anchor chart. This anchor chart is a great tool to reference back to even after class is over! • Related Tutorials: Each week I provide additional resources for students who many need more information on a specific skill. These resources are a great way to fill in any gaps of understanding that may be preventing the learner from moving forward. • Additional Practice Problems: If your learner is itching for more practice, I have it for them! This optional assignment provides students immediate feedback. 👩🏫 Expert Instruction With nearly 10 years of experience as a dedicated elementary teacher and over 2,000 successful lessons taught on the Outschool platform, you can trust your child's learning journey is in capable hands. 🎉 An Inclusive Environment for Every Learner I know that every child is unique and celebrate that individuality. My classes are designed to be inclusive and respectful, making sure even the shyest learners feel welcomed and valued. 🏅Certificate of Completion🏅 Upon request, students will receive a certificate of completion featuring the dates of their enrollment, serving as tangible evidence of their commitment and progress. Hello, parents! My name is Mrs. Mattingly, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Outschool community as an experienced math teacher. With eight years of valuable experience as an elementary teacher and over 3,000 classes taught on the platform, I take immense pride in consistently receiving 5-star reviews from both parents and students.
As a highly qualified teacher, I hold a teaching license and possess a bachelor's degree in education. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to teaching math to students performing both below and above grade level. By understanding the common (and not so common) misconceptions that students often face when learning new skills, I am well-prepared to equip your child with the best strategies for grasping challenging concepts.
I firmly believe that every child has the potential to learn, even if it happens on different days or in unique ways. My ultimate goal is to create a nurturing classroom environment where all students feel confident when tackling difficult tasks.
So, why wait? I am eagerly looking forward to welcoming your child into my classroom soon! Together, let's embark on an exciting math journey that will inspire and empower your child to excel in their mathematical abilities. Enroll now and watch your child thrive under my guidance!
