Class experience
Our class provides students with a hands-on learning experience of various science activities! We complete a multitude of activities ranging from chemical reactions, S.T.E.M., and more! Your student will be exposed to a plethora of creative and fun hands-on science experiments and S.T.E.M. activities covering difference science topics. Students will improve their understanding of various science concepts through hands-on learning.
Below is the supply list needed for four weeks at a time and will updated each week for better preparation. -------------APRIL EXPERIMENTS------------- 🥛 (April 7th - 13th) - Magic Milk 🪄 • 1-2 cups milk • food coloring • liquid laundry detergent (or dish soap) • multiple q-tips • pie dish 🌪️ (April 14th - 20th) - Tornado In A Bottle 🫙 • 2 identical plastic bottles (2 liter or 16oz bottles) The smaller bottles are great for little hands. • Food coloring (optional) • At least two cups of water • Duct tape • glitter (optional) • Tornado Tube or connector (optional) 🌧️ (April 21st - 27th) - Rain Cloud In A Jar 🫙 • mason jar • plenty of baby oil (typically 3/4 full) • white foam shaving cream • 2 cups water • blue food coloring • dropper or a plastic water bottle with lid (if you use the plastic bottle with lid method, you will need to poke holes in the lid) -------------MAY EXPERIMENTS------------- (April 28th - May 4th) - Oobleck: A Non-Newtonian Substance (May 5th - 11th) - Walking Water (May 12th - 18th) - Disappearing Ink (May 19th - 25th) - What cleans pennies best?
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Each week will be different in terms of experiments and what is used, but it is important for learners to have an adult near by for assistance.
