Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Natisa and I have been teaching children for over 10 years. I operate an in home daycare where I teach 3 to 4 year old children. I've also mentored and tutored children ages 8 years old to 16 years old, in a variety of subjects including Math and English. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and a degree in Criminal Justice. I love teaching and I would love to share my knowledge through fun tasks and memorable activities.

I am a professional fashion designer and I've been sewing garments for over 10 years. I love to sew everything from formal gowns to accessories for babies. I've been teaching sewing classes to children in person and now I'm teaching online. The sewing projects that are introduced in these classes, are for beginner to intermediate learners. The projects will range from reading pillows to gathered skirts. I love introducing skills that can be used everyday and I know your child will enjoy learning in my classes.

Children learn at different paces in a variety of methods. As a teacher, it is important to find the method that works for the individual child. Working with small groups allows me to find out what part of learning makes a child excited, and what part of learning makes a child discouraged. I find that children are more excited to learn when activities are hands on. I prefer teaching using the hands on method with activities that will allow students to create, draw conclusions, and solve problems.

When I am not sewing or teaching, I am a full time mother to 2 children ages 5 years old and 10 years old. We love to play outside and make pizza. My 10 year old also loves to sew and will most likely make guest appearances during these classes. I do offer private classes. If you would like to schedule a specific time and/date, please send me a message. I'm looking forward to our sewing adventures while teaching on Outschool.
