In this 1-time class students will learn the decisions that create chord progressions and how to perform them on the guitar. By the end of class, students will have atlesat 9 chords they can play and move through different songs and keys.

Homework
1 hour per week. Practicing is a way to internalize and test your skills. Supplemental activities for the learner to engage with will be offered to support growth and development in the performance and coordination of skills as they apply to performing on a keyboard/piano.
Assessment
The teacher may provide in the moment feedback for adjustment to help a learner find success with guitar performance outcomes.

Class Experience

US Grade 6 - 9
Beginner - Intermediate Level
Use these 3 simple chords to produce 100's of songs fast. Then, learn to play the same song in a different key by modulating the pattern to another key.

This one-time guitar class will help guitar players who want to learn:
-  key shapes, 
- how to transition between key shapes, 
- how to translate key shapes into chords, and 
- create chord progressions in multiple tonalities.

Chord progressions will be of the I-IV-V or V7 and a study of the major tonalities as detailed in the Circle of 5ths. 

Watch for the class recap where playlist partners will drop the best hits to apply the class discussion to in real songs of the popular music on guitar. Don't know that song, genre, or artist? Playlists are always updated and delivering new songs using known and familiar chord progressions specifically discussed in this I-IV-V guitar chord progression study class.

This class is offered multiple times, but the content will always be the same - chord progressions. Revisit this class to continually practice and improve on chord progression basics. Revisit this class to skill up the application to the latest music played in the chord progression.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the I-IV-V chord progression in at least 3 different keys
Students will learn the key shapes of the needed chords to perform on the guitar.
