In this 6-week beginner cooking class, students will learn the fundamentals of cooking, including kitchen safety, proper use of tools, and basic food preparation techniques. Each class is 40 minutes long and focuses on a different skill, such as measuring ingredients, chopping vegetables, and following step-by-step recipes. Students will create simple, kid-friendly dishes like sandwiches, pasta, and snacks, with opportunities to ask questions and share their creations. The class is designed for beginners ages 13-18 and requires minimal prior kitchen experience. ***Parental supervision may be needed for younger students when using sharp tools or heat. A supply list will be provided upon enrollment so families can prepare ahead of time.
