US Grade 3 - 4
Welcome to a comprehensive third-grade English Language Arts (ELA) curriculum, meticulously crafted for reading, writing, and presentations. With each unit consisting of six classes, our 45-minute sessions are aligned with Common Core standards for 3rd and 4th grade. Ideal for homeschooling, supporting existing ELA curricula, or after-school supplementation, this course ensures a rich learning experience for every student. Course Structure: The class structure is designed for easy acclimatization, offering predictability for swift learning. Sessions encompass: 1. Review of prior concepts (from the second session onwards) 2. Learning new concepts 3. Guided group practice 4. Individual supported practice 5. Sharing of work 6. Games to reinforce new concepts (time permitting) Any homework given in this class should take no longer than 30 minutes per week to complete. CEFR C1+ Proficiency Material is presented on Google Slides, offering an interactive platform. Learners can use either Google Slides or traditional pencil and paper. The teacher screen-shares materials; no external sources are required. PDF materials are available upon request 2 hours prior to class.
Learning Goals

Predict and Summarize
We will use the book The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs by Jon Scieszka to learn and practice skills of predicting what might happen next. We will focus on the idea of summarizing- saying it in your own words with a focus on the main idea and key details.

We have experience working with learners of all abilities, including ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ASD and more. Learners of all abilities are welcomed and encouraged to join us in class. Please contact us for more information.
