Let's travel with classical music, visit magical places, and help characters we meet on the way. We will also move with classical music, play games, and make crafts!

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 2
Beginner Level
In this 3-day camp, students will "travel" to 3 fantastic places: Magic Forest, Land of Sweets, and Amazing Toy Store. The first day, Papageno, one of the main characters from Mozart's opera The Magic Flute, will lead us through the Magic Forest. On the second day, the Sugar Plum Fairy, a character from Tchaikovsky's ballet The Nutcracker, will give us a musical tour through the Land of Sweets. On the third day, we will stop by the Amazing Toy Store (from the ballet La Boutique Fantasque)...
Students will get familiarized with fragments of famous classical pieces. They will practice listening to short segments of classical music and expect the "clues" from the music. Students will be encouraged to use their creative thinking while playing musical games and making crafts.
Supply List for Camp Day 1: Magic Forest • Shoe box WITHOUT LID OR TOP (please cut it off if attached) • White playdough • Cotton ball • Wide blades of grass, a few short plants, and/or oval-shaped leaves • Construction or any other kind of paper in blue and yellow (yellow could be replaced with any shiny color – only a tiny scrap is needed) • Glue • Scotch tape • Scissors • Markers, crayons, or pencils (optional) Day 2: Land of Sweets • ONE of the following containers: yogurt cup, plastic or paper cup, fruit cup, jelly cup, or apple sauce cup. • Paper towel or toilet paper tube • Tissue paper OR 2 napkins (colorful napkins preferred, but white is fine too!) • 2 Cotton balls • Playdough • Old pencil • Small stickers, colorful scraps of paper • Markers • Scissors • Scotch tape • Glue Day 3: Amazing Toy Store • 2 plastic spoons • 2 white napkins • Tissue paper OR 1 additional napkin (colorful napkin preferred, but white is fine too!) • A piece of aluminum foil • Playdough • Small stickers, small buttons (optional) • Markers • Scissors • Scotch tape • Glue
For the craft portion of the class parental guidance is required for younger students (ages 4-5) for the use of scissors and other materials. Parental guidance is recommended for older students (ages 6-8).
