In this birding class, we're going global! Each week we will look at a new group of birds, and explore the characteristics, distribution, adaptations, life histories, and fun facts of birds from all over the world. This is a great class for bird watchers and students interested in ornithology who want to learn more about the different groups of birds. This class is open to all students, regardless of previous experience or knowledge of birds. Classes do not build off each other. The class is designed so that students can take all of the classes or drop in to learn about their favorite bird group. This is a great class for anyone who loves to learn about new birds. It is lecture-based with multimedia presentations. Schedule for Classes: Sep 1 - Sep 7 Weavers & Widowbirds Sep 8 - Sep 14 Waxbills & Munias Sep 15 - Sep 21 Indigobirds & Whydahs Sep 22 - Sep 28 Olive Warbler & Accentors Sep 29 - Oct 5 Wagtails & Pipits Oct 6 - Oct 12 Finches, Euphonias & Przevalski's Finch Oct 13 - Oct 19 Longspurs, Snow Buntings Oct 20 - Oct 26 Buntings & Thrush-tanager Oct 27 - Nov 2 New World Sparrows, Bush Tanagers More classes will be added as we go.
