In this six-session course students will receive a basic introductory overview (or a solid review) of word functions and sentence diagramming, preparing students for more rigorous study later. As students begin to understand the structure of language, they gain confidence and can become better writers and communicators. This class will assume a familiarity with the basic parts of speech. Students will learn to identify the functions of words and phrases in sentences. They will be able to visualize these functions as they learn to place each word and phrase into a sentence diagram.
