Beginner - Advanced Level
In this course students will learn, practice and get a real world view of algebra concepts. This course meets twice a week to give students enough time to learn, practice & master algebra concepts. During this course I use a mixture of traditional and creative tools to help students learn algebra concepts. Students will use traditional tools such as math worksheets, online whiteboards etc. to learn concepts. Topics will be reinforced through creative resources such as small group projects, STEM projects and interactive learning exercises such as peer-to-peer checking. Assessments will be given occasionally to make sure students are mastering the core Algebra 1 concepts Algebra topics that students will learn & practice in this course are covered across 12 units. These units are: Unit 1 - Algebra Basics Unit 2 - Multi-step Equations & Inequalities Unit 3 - Relations & Functions Unit 4 - Linear Equations Unit 5 - Systems of Equations and Inequalities Unit 6 - Exponents and Exponential Unit 7 - Polynomials and Factoring Unit 8 - Quadratic Equations Unit 9 -Linear, Quadratic, Exponential Functions Unit 10 - Radical Expressions & Equations Unit 11 - Rational Expressions & Equations Unit 12 - Statistics
