Class Experience

This fun and interactive weekly skills group led by a certified ADHD coach will give students with ADHD the opportunity to connect with fellow students and learn new tools, strategies, and techniques for successfully managing common ADHD-related challenges. Try a session for just $1 with code VANRICLUB17

Possible topics will include ADHD-specific neurobiology (what makes the ADHD brain tick), school-related challenges, difficulty concentrating, starting and finishing tasks, time-management, organization, self-regulation, social skills, and more!

Students will gain a greater sense of confidence while they develop critical skills to help them succeed in school, at home, and in their community.

This is a great option for students who are interested in ADHD and executive function skills coaching but are unable to commit to one-on-one sessions.

Each session will have the following format:

-Welcome students and celebrate wins for that week.

-Introduce a specific ADHD-related challenge (difficulty getting started on homework, staying focused, managing time effectively, etc.)

-I will share some information about the neurobiology of ADHD and why the particular task might be challenging to help students understand the importance of working with the way their brain is uniquely wired, rather than against it.

-I will share practical strategies, tools, and tips to successfully overcome the challenge that the students can try at home.

-Following each session, I will provide worksheets, templates, and/or written instructions for the strategies/tools/tips shared in class.

-There is no required homework for this class and students may join at any time.

No time for live group sessions? Check out my chat group The ADHD Toolbox where students can connect with me and other students, learn new tips and strategies, participate in fun challenges, and more! Visit my teacher profile for details under Chat Groups.

As an ADHD coach, my passion is working with students of all ages to develop a greater sense of self-acceptance, confidence, and autonomy. I approach every student interaction with openness, curiosity, patience, humor, and acceptance. My goal is to partner with my students to help them develop the tools and self-advocacy skills they need to feel successful and confident.

Please note, coaching is NOT mental health therapy. This group is strictly intended to teach skills and strategies and does not support or provide a therapeutic outcome. As such, it should not be regarded as a substitute for mental health and/or other therapeutic services.
