Students will learn skills applicable to the real world and learn how to navigate the real world challenges, loaded with information and confidence to be successful young adults.
I taught personal finance classes for 20 years in public school, but my real expertise comes from being an adult myself and for raising two newly-turned young adult children.
Homework Offered
Each week a task will be assigned to the learners to complete if they wish. The tasks will be short, but they should also be useful and applicable to the topic we are discussing that week.
0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
If a parent wishes to have a formal assessment, I will provide that at the conclusion of class. I will be an active participant in the learning process and will be providing written feedback for each task the learner completes throughout the course.
Grades Offered
If a parent requests a formal grade report, I will create an assessment for them based on the lessons taught and enrichments completed. Just remember to ask!
Learners should have access to a calculator for this class in addition to access to the Internet for activities.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
