Experience and training in S.P.I.R.E. - multi-sensory and systematic approach to reading intervention.

1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

Frequency is determined based on the individual student's requirements.
Clear educational purpose to practice and reinforce skills learned during tutoring sessions.
Assessment
Frequency: 7 or more throughout the class
Details: - Thorough evaluation of each student's current reading abilities and learning profile.
- Identification of individual strengths and areas requiring improvement.
- Assessment includes phonemic awareness, phonics, reading comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, and writing skills.
- Ongoing progress monitoring to track improvements and adjust instruction as needed.
- Collaborative communication with parents and guardians to share assessment results and set clear learning goals.
- Tailoring of lessons and materials based on assessment outcomes to meet each student's specific needs.

This class is intentionally designed to support learners with unique needs such as dyslexia. 

Learners should be able to name and give the sounds of most capital and lowercase consonants. Learners may need help with some short vowel sounds.
