What will be taught? This class focuses on improving your child's reading skills based on their individual needs. From fluency and comprehension to vocabulary and reading confidence, the specific areas we cover will be determined by an initial reading assessment. What topics will you cover? Depending on your child's assessment results, topics may include phonics, word recognition, reading comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary development. The goal is to target the areas where your child needs the most support, helping them to build a strong foundation in reading. How is your class structured? The class is structured as a series of 1-on-1, live tutoring sessions. The first session includes a comprehensive reading assessment to identify your child's strengths and areas for improvement. Subsequent sessions will be customized based on the assessment results, ensuring that each lesson is tailored to your child's specific needs. How will you teach? I use a personalized approach to teaching, adapting my methods to fit your child's unique learning style and needs. Lessons may include reading aloud, interactive activities, and practice exercises, all designed to engage your child and reinforce key reading concepts. What's your teaching style? My teaching style is patient, supportive, and adaptable. I aim to create a positive and encouraging environment where your child feels comfortable and motivated to learn. I incorporate various teaching strategies, including visual aids, interactive exercises, and discussions, to keep the lessons engaging and effective. How much will learners get to interact with you? Learners will have direct, one-on-one interaction with me throughout each session. We will engage in discussions, reading exercises, and interactive activities designed to reinforce learning. I encourage students to ask questions and participate actively in the lessons. Whether we're working on reading comprehension, fluency, or vocabulary, the sessions are highly interactive, with plenty of opportunities for your child to receive personalized feedback and support.
