In this class, we will meet the butterfly and moth Pokémon from Gen 1 through Gen 9, and match them up to their real-life inspirations in the order Lepidoptera. The live session will consist of narrated slides with multimedia content, with opportunities to ask questions as time permits; meanwhile, the classroom board can be utilized before and after class to engage in open discussion about both Pokémon and real-life animals. Additional resources will also be posted in the classroom after the live session ends to help further your exploration of these animal friends both in the Pokémon world and the real world!

Also, just FYI: I like using my Cool Science Words and exposing children of all ages to proper scientific terminology and nomenclature. I believe it's never too early for children to hear us using our "grownup" vocabulary. (That being said, of course I define these words when they first come up, and will provide supplementary vocabulary sheets in classes with a lot of subject-specific terminology.)
