CLASS DESCRIPTION
In this ongoing class, students will learn how to speak basic Spanish. This is the perfect class for a student just starting out with Spanish. We will sing songs 🎵 and learn through visuals, repetition, ASL and kinesthetic movements. Through using multiple intelligence strategies, students are engaged and it makes learning fun and more effective.  

In this beginner Spanish class your child will learn:

➡️ Colors
➡️ Numbers
➡️ Fruits
➡️ Veggies
➡️ Food
➡️ Family
➡️ Clothing
➡️ Farm animals
➡️ Toys

This class will start off with 30% Spanish and 70% English. Starting off at this ratio will slowly ease their way into learning a foreign language without becoming overwhelmed right away. We will slowly change this ratio as the class progresses. This class does not require your learner to know any Spanish. Learning Spanish will reinforce your child's own language. The best time to learn a foreign language is at this age; their brain is designed for learning language. Learning a foreign language will enhance your child's English skills and will allow them to advance faster in their own language. By the end of the course, your learner will be able to say many words and sentences in Spanish. I look forward to teaching your son or daughter. I hope to see you soon! Hasta pronto!

I recommend purchasing this workbook to help reinforce the concepts and skills we cover in class. This workbook is optional. OTHER SUPPLIES
Other supplies that we will have should be able to be found around the house. For our animals unit, I will ask them to bring a toy animal and for our colors unit, we will go on a scavenger hunt to find different colors.
