Students will learn how to create their own comics utilizing the writing process and a new specific skill that focuses on comics specifically like  learning how to set up your story panel, include key details in your drawing, different types of speech & thought bubbles, sound effects, short text captions, etc. 

I have been teaching writing classes on Outschool for almost 4 years that includes a favorite unit on comic writing. Also, I have taught comic units in-person in classroom, non-profit activity, and therapeutic settings as a part of my work as a teacher, tutor, and therapist. I have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in education and am finishing a clinical psychology degree where I have worked with young clients to use writing and comics to express themselves as a coping mechanism.
