This is a fun intro class to the cool process of needle felting also known as wool painting. This is a dry felting process using a barbed needle and wool roving to create a felted Barrel Cactus. I love the feel and look of needle felted items/art and have been doing it for about 4 years. I have offered classes and workshops at various local county Fine Arts facilities and excited to share my love of this art form by offering classes online.
Items to Purchase: Barbed needles (at least 2 in case of breakage) .5 oz packages of wool roving in green, white and flower color of your choice Small foam block Optional: Little clay pot or other container plus pebbles, crumpled paper or sand to fill it. Plus wire or toothpicks to secure the cactus Needle Felting kits are available on Amazon, Etsy, Ebay etc. A kit should have several colors, needles and a felting block.
