In this class, we will practice fun yoga poses and techniques that are healthy for the body, mind, and spirit. Each day, we will move through yogic breathing, warm up sun salutations, yoga poses, a yoga activity, cool down poses, an age-appropriate meditation, and relaxation, ensuring everyone stays safe, is comfortable, and enjoys the practice. Daily themes may include but are not limited to the following: strength, flexibility, focus, creativity, mindfulness, nutrition, and kindness to ourselves and others. These themes will vary each week and also take into consideration learner interest/need, time of year, current events, etc. With my guidance, the students will actively participate in the class and will be able to explore their own versions of poses, no matter their experience levels. This is an enjoyable and beneficial practice for all! Please join us any time.

Yoga is a wonderfully beneficial activity for the mind and body. Following class, students may choose to continue practicing the poses and techniques on their own; in that case, please be sure to provide proper adult supervision.

- A yoga mat or similar soft, nonslip flooring on which to practice. - Suitable room to move arms and legs freely. - Comfortable clothing with bare feet or socks with grips.

Hi, my name is Dawn, and I have been teaching various classes for over 20 years now and have enjoyed every minute!
I am a 300 hour certified yoga instructor who is registered with the Yoga Alliance as an experienced yoga teacher (E-RYT) as well as a continuing education provider (YACEP). I am a state certified teacher in New Jersey and also have a certificate in teaching yoga for kids. My yoga classes encompass all ages and levels and are a fun, themed blend of yogic breathing, poses, games/activities (age-appropriate), meditation, and relaxation. Kids, teens, and adults alike deserve to safely enjoy the many wonderful benefits of yoga: feeling peaceful, happy, and healthy both inside and out.
I look forward to virtually meeting everyone. My cat, who often makes an appearance, and I hope to see you in class soon! Namaste :)
