We will just highlight the bigger moments in WWII, we will follow a powerPoint presentation and have question and answer opportunities between learners and teacher; the PowerPoint includes visuals and video to enhance learning and encourage discussion. I love interaction between learners and learners and teacher.
My teaching style is to teach the subject/topic, and allow students to share what they know; I also ask questions to elicit knowledge, understanding and/or deeper meanings; or if the student needs the information in a different way to grasp the material.

I do not address the Holocaust or concentration camps in this lesson; I do show some videos that go along with the different battles and events of the war, however they would follow the same rating as a PG or PG-13 movie.

I love history, I feel that it is very important to know as much about history as possible. I have studied history for most of my life. I have written this curriculum and have taught it in an after school setting many times and last summer in a summer camp setting. I have been teaching this class and several other war history classes successfully on Outschool.com since March. I have taught K-8th grade and teaching history is my favorite!
