Do you love Minecraft? Me too! In this one-time class, we'll practice writing about our favorite game - Minecraft! Students who want to improve their writing abilities, develop their confidence, and practice writing about a familiar topic are welcome to take this class as many times as they like. In this class, we'll start off by each sharing one thing we love about Minecraft, and then the writing fun will begin! Students should bring a pencil or paper to write with (they may write on their computers, as well, but screen-sharing is not permitted in this class). We'll play a couple of different description games designed to help students come up with new ideas for writing! We will have a period during class for students to write. They may write a paragraph or even begin a story about Minecraft. If they don't finish during class, that's okay! They can finish after class and post their writing project in the Outschool.com classroom for everyone to see! Students will leave the class feeling more confident about their writing abilities and will have completed a short writing project during this class.

Communication isn't always easy, but in my classes, students learn that it can be fun! I offer writing, communication, and social classes based on topics kids love. Learning doesn't have to be boring, so I offer Roblox, Minecraft, Fortnite, and even Harry Potter classes designed to get your learners thinking about different ways to share their thoughts and express themselves. I offer writing, science, and social classes designed to help your learner share their thoughts in a safe environment.
I hope that after class, each student will walk away from our time together feeling more confident and comfortable with their own communication skills. My goal as an educator is to help students feel great about their writing and communication skills and to learn how to improve in new and creative ways.
I'm a professional writer with 19 years of experience as an article creator, novelist, and editor. I've published several bestselling books and love both creative and technical writing. I also teach writing at homeschool co-ops and online for teens and adults.
