WOW yourself by creating digital art and animation on your iPad.* I have been teaching digital art for middle-schoolers through college for years ~ and the app we'll use makes it all easier than ever, let me show you how. In this short class you'll learn to use existing your photos or drawings to create highly original digital painting, drawing, collage, and even animation. I can't wait for us to get started ! *Other tablets or phones may be compatible with the app we'll use, see Learner Supplies for further info. Apple Pencil not required, you can draw with your finger.

We will be using the free app, Adobe Fresco. An Adobe ID needs to be set up to use this.
Fresco is rated for ages 4+. Outschool requires parental consent for this resource.
Students need a computer to attend the class and an iPad to work on during the class.

Be familiar with how to use the device you'll be working on.
It's helpful to have photos you took, and a photo of a line drawing you made, ready to go on your device before the first lesson.
Skill in drawing / art is not a pre-req.

• We will be using the free app, Adobe Fresco. An Adobe ID needs to be set up to use this. • Students need a computer to attend the class and an iPad to work on during the class. Other tablets and computers or phones may be compatible, please refer to Adobe Fresco system requirements, and be ready to troubleshoot in case of special needs for any device other than iPad. • Apple Pencil not required - you can draw with your finger, though this might be awkward on a smaller device. If you're looking for a more affordable alternative to an Apple Pencil consider the Logitech Crayon (uses same tips as Apple Pencil) - a student discount may be available. Insure Pencil or Crayon is charged up prior to class if using. (Apple Pencil & Logitech Crayon do not work on phones.) • Insure device has sufficient storage space/memory. • Exporting completed artwork from the app to the device is recommended (ex.: export to Files on iPad). If you don't have Adobe CC, export in a file type other than .psdc (only opens in Photoshop). • A drawing glove is helpful.
