The student should be able to name key events and interesting happenings in the first 150 years of the Ottoman Empire.

I have a Masters Degree in Education and have been an avid history enthusiast for as long as I can remember. The area around the Mediterranean is the most important area for the development and continued existence of western culture and so has had most of my 30 years worth of study committed to it. Egyptians, Greek, Romans, Ottomans, and Mongols all have a part to play and so this topic is one of my big 5.

Unless your student has a disability that keeps them from doing it, the homework for this class is a requirement to continue on with it. If homework is missed more than one time your student will be withdrawn and your money will not be refunded.

Homework will be to listen to podcasts and/or watch videos assigned. Notes should be taken and the assigned questions should be answered.

At the end of the class students' homework will change to 2 weeks to prepare and record a 5-10 minute podcast episode on a topic of their choosing from what they learned.
