週1時間. Homework is always optional. I believe learners would benefit from implementing the information they learn in class, however, I also understand that each learner is unique. Learners will analyze primary source documents and answer comprehension questions based on a primary source. These activities should not take more than one hour to completeテスト
Learners will be assessed informally in each class through verbal comprehension checks and class discussions. Each class will begin with a quick review of the activities from the previous week's class to ensure students understood the material. At the end of each unit, students will complete a Kahoot, which will act as an informal summative assessment of the unit.この文章は自動翻訳されています

Join me as we investigate the Post-WWII era and examine the emergence of nationalism and independence movements across the world. Students will explore the creation of the Third World, including the rise of the Indian National Congress and the Muslim League in India, the assassination of Mohandas Gandhi, and the subsequent formation of East and West Pakistan. The course also delves into the US's role in the Philippines and the democratic movements in Myanmar (Burma) led by Aung San Suu Kyi. Students will study the rise of nationalism in Indonesia under the leadership of Sukarno and Suharto, as well as the independence movements of various African countries, such as Ghana, Kenya, the Congo, Algeria, and the end of South African apartheid. The course also addresses the Rwandan Genocide and the Sundanese Civil Wars. Lastly, students will examine the rise of various leaders in the Americas, including Juan Peron in Argentina, Emiliano Zapata and Pancho Villa in Mexico, Augusto Pinochet in Chile, Omar Torrijos and Manuel Noriega in Panama, and the Sandinistas in Nicaragua, and Fidel Castro in Cuba. This course will be taught using visual aids via PowerPoint in a lecture-based format. Students will be expected to ask questions and discuss the material we are covering as a group. During the 50-minute class periods, students should expect to answer questions to check their understanding and participate in class discussions. The last week of the course will be the unit test which will be in the form of an interactive game of Kahoot. This is an introductory class, so students do not need to have any background knowledge coming into class!

This course covers topics that some parents might consider to be graphic. These events include the Rwandan Genocide, political assassinations, and The Oran Massacre. Some of these events are documented by primary source photographs which may be unsettling for some younger students.
