古代と自然界の驚異：4週間クラス（地質学と歴史）6-10

The world around us is filled with wonders! Some are man-made, while others have been created through the power and beauty of mother nature. Together we will travel across the globe, and explore the Pyramids of Egypt, The Great Wall of China, Uluru and the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, among many others. At each location we will discuss how it got there, its historical and cultural significance, and what we can do to preserve it for future generations. Join us in this class as we blend exploration, science and history and uncover the secrets of the many Wonders hidden throughout our planet!

In our classes we will focus on the geography, science, history and cultures that go along with each of our wonders. We will look at the ancient civilizations that built or revered these sites. We will discover how modern humans interact with and preserve them. And we will learn how the geography of a monument or nation can change history for thousands of years!

Courses will run for four weeks (8 total classes) and follow the lesson plan laid out below.

Day 1 - The Great Pyramids of Giza, Egypt
Day 2 - Uluru, Australia
Day 3 - Machu Picchu, Peru
Day 4 - Niagara Falls, USA/Canada
Day 5 - The Great Wall of China
Day 6 - Amazon River, Brazil 
Day 7 - Tallest Building in the World!
Day 8 - Galapagos Islands

And our journey doesn't end here, and we can always revisit our favorite locations and take a more in-depth look at them together as we travel around the globe in search of the Wonders of the Ancient and Natural World!
