- A base to build mural on.  Options might include: very sturdy cardboard, plastic plexiglass, wood
- Salt dough supplies: bag of flour, water, salt, cream of tartar
We will be making a sizable mural.  Roughly 25"x33" 
I would recommend purchasing 1-2 bags of flour,  2-8c of salt, 4-8 TBS of cream of tarter.  This should be plenty but if your child has a spill, uses more dough (which is fine) - you may have to purchase more.  
- Acrylic paint, brushes, paper towels, water.  Colors are what you prefer.
-Optional tools: tools to sculpt salt dough
- Strong adhesive glue or hot glue gun and high temp glue sticks (not cool sticks)

Please note that the sculpting is base on your child's imagination.  We all visualize fantasy books differently and hopefully we will see that when we all showcase our maps at the end.  I do not want the students to create my personal visualization so it will be up to your child to get creative.

If you are not comfortable with your child using hot glue or a super adhesive glue on their own, you may want to assist your child if needed.
