Hello!

My name is Samille and I have been a teaching Artist specializing in Theatre Arts and Arts and Crafts for the last 6 years.  I hold a degree in Musical Theatre from New Jersey City University and have performed and taught professionally since 2010.  I am passionate about child led learning, arts education and nature as a way of helping to mold a whole person.  I am also a Mother to curious 5 year old Unschooler.  Through Unschooling I have witnessed child led learning first hand and even get to apply that at my day job as a teacher at The Waldorf School here in New Orleans, where I reside.  

I am currently offering a fun class called "What's Eating You in the Bayou", inspired by my life here in New Orleans, hiking through swamps and Bayou's on the edge's of the Mississippi.  Its a great way for your learner to become informed about different animals and Amphibians that are part of the Biome here.  I am also offering a story time and sing along with me for very early learners.  And will be expanding into some more arts and crafts classes as well as acting classes.

My Philosophy is based in Child-led learning and learning through play and discovery.  Through my various teaching backgrounds and what I have seen work in my own daughter has brought me to a place of patience with children, and my creative background brings high energy, big smiles and lots of fun.

My spare time is spent mainly outdoors with my family or traveling.  We go Camping, Foraging and love to Bike Quite regularly.  I also couldn't live without Singing, Acting, doing Yoga or walking my dog or petting my Cat.  I am a fun loving, and funny gal.  I hope I get a chance to put a smile on your kid's face.
