I have a love for science and nature and glaciers are amazing! Come with me into a world far beyond anything you will find in the city. Glaciers are way more than just giant blocks of ice. They are constantly changing. Join me as we literally crawl inside the glaciers and their paths and see a glimpse into what they have to offer. Some of the world’s glaciers are shrinking faster than they are growing. This causes giant recession of land under them. We are going to cover the following points: -What’s a Glacier? - Why does it change? -Parts of a Glacier -How does it move? -What are the types of Glaciers? -What’s a crevasse? -What does it look like inside? -What causes glacial erosion? Not only will we go inside a glacier but, I will also use experiments to see how glacial erosion works. We will go over the process in which ice melts and freezes causing things to change. We will also cover: How can a glaciers parts work together? What makes the ice able to do so much damage? Please print the worksheet on the parts of the glacier and we will fill it in during class. Come join us and see just how a mountain can move! If you need a time I dont have please feel free to ask!

I love glaciers and never really got to experience one up close until we moved to Washington and visit Mt. Rainier in all its glory. So I cant wait to share it with you.
