The overarching theme of naturally occuring cycles is the focus of these sessions. Through the use of Nearpod, hands on investigations, teacher led discussion, videos, interactive games, and art extensions, students will gain deeper knowledge of common cycles they encounter. During my 26 years as a public school teacher, I taught inquiry science to all ages groups. When I left the classroom, I served as a science and math teacher development specialist, wrote and delivered science professional development to teachers across the district, and wrote district science curriculum and assessments for elementary grades.

Students will interact in class through the Pear Deck and Nearpod platforms as the main presentation tool. Check for Understanding games will be played on Kahoot and Quizlet. Some pre-screened You Tube videos will be included for content as well as unlisted YouTube videos created by the teacher. None of these resources require students to create log ins or accounts and they will be presented live through the PearDeck platform.
